Schools Remain Closed Until 30th March – Ministry of Education

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Ministry of Education, says classes remain suspended until the end of March 31, 2020.

The decision, according to a release is based on the expert advice of the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) and the Health Ministry.

The Ministry any decision on the re-opening schools will be guided by the nation’s health experts.

The release quotes Education authorities as saying, the decision is a preventive measure to reduce the risk of the coronavirus spreading.

Education Officers will work with school administrators to ensure that this is observed. 

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry is encouraging families to keep children reading and studying at home.
