Transport Minister denies breaking health protocols

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Minister of Transport has denied ever violating health protocols upon his return to Liberia from Stockholm, Sweden.

Minister Samuel Wlue told a news conference Wednesday, March 18, 2020, that he left Liberia on February 18 this year and returned on February 26, after attending the 3rd Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety in Sweden.

He said:” While in Stockholm, there was no global threat of 200 cases of the Coronavirus in Sweden.”

Minister Wlue’s clarification comes in the wake of an article published by Front Page Africa Newspaper, alleging that he returned to Liberia from Italy.

The Transport Minister descried the publication by Front Page Africa Newspaper as misleading and untrue.
