By: Fabine Kwiah (ELBC Judicial Correspondent)

Tubmanburg Bomi County Liberia – Murder Suspect, Jonathan Williams, has pleaded not guilty to murder charge in the ongoing trail at the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.

In 2018, Defendant Williams was indicted by the Grand Jury of Montserrado County for allegedly killing Journalist Tyron Brown in the Du-Port Road Community in Paynesville.

In its argument, Defense Counsel, led by Cllr. Jimmy Bombo, told the court Monday that his client, Jonathan Williams, had earlier waived Jury Trial.

According to our Judicial Reporter, Defendant Williams is facing Bench Trial, consistent with Article 21 (a) of the 1986 Liberian Constitution.

Meanwhile, State Prosecution has produced the first witness, Joana Bracewell, who has taken the stand to testify in the ongoing trial.
