LDEA Burns Narcotics Worth Thousands Of Dollars In Margibi County

Monrovia Liberia – About 264 grams of heroin worth over thirteen thousand United States has been burned as part of efforts to curtail the consumption and trafficking of the narcotic substances in Liberia.

Substances burnt by the Liberia Drugs enforcement Agency include, cocaine, heroin and marijuana Friday in Margibi County in the presence of AFL Chief of Staff, Major General Prince Johnson III , and US Deputy Chief of Mission in Liberia.

Speaking to this Station during the burning exercise Friday February 14, LDEA Director General Marcus Soko said the drugs were confiscated over the past months across the Country.

Director Soko re-assured the public of his entity’s commitment to go extra length in the fight against illicit substances in Liberia.

He urged Liberians to help in the battle against narcotics by reporting traffickers of the substance to the LDEA in the spirit of making the Country free of harmful drugs.
