Fronting is criminal-Commerce Minister Tarpeh

MONROVIA, LIBERIA (Daniel Ankrah)-Commerce Minister, Wilson Tarpeh, says a bill has been drafted to criminalize fronting.

Minister Tarpeh said:” Many Liberians are intentionally fronting for foreign businesses to deny government of its needed revenues.”

Speaking with ELBC Wednesday, January 22, 2020, the Commerce Minister disclosed that the Ministry will also bring into force a law known as piercing the Corporate Veil. 

Minister Tarpeh said:” It is a process that will expose Liberians engaged in helping foreign businesses to defraud government.”

Meanwhile, the Commerce Minister said a team of inspectors are out on the field making sure that the prices of petroleum products are not inflated.
