Bar Asso. wants war actors with chief responsibility prosecuted

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Bar Association wants those bearing the greatest responsibility of the fourteen year civil war account for their actions.

The Secretary General of the Association, Cllr. Bobby Livingstone, urged Government to create an enabling environment where the rule of law is respected.

Cllr. Livingstone said:” The culture of accountability through the justice system will pave the way for development and set the right standards for future generation.”

He however, warned against impunity,re-emphasizing the need for the establishment of the War Crimes Court to discourage unlawful acts.

Meanwhile, Cllr. Livingstone has disclosed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Liberia Bar Association and the Liberia Revenue Authority.
