MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Liberia has reaffirmed support for all credible efforts to end the Ukraine-Russia war.

Liberia’s Political Coordinator to the UN Security Council, Prutus Sackie, said:” The Country supports peaceful settlement in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations”.

Sackie made the statement at the weekend during a UN Security Council meeting in the United States.

He underlined the protection of civilians, respect for and protection of hospitals, schools, humanitarian personnel, and critical civilian infrastructure.

Sackie urged the council to intensify diplomatic efforts towards an immediate ceasefire and a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace, consistent with the UN Charter.
