BONG COUNTY, LIBERIA-A fifty-year-old man identified as Richard Dantee has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife in Kollitagolai, Bong County.
The suspect had accused his wife, Lorpu Kollie, of denying him sex, prompting him to beat her to death.
Lorpu subsequently died in a local hospital from severe injuries sustained during the beating.
Residents say suspect Dantee recently had surgery and his wife’s action was based on medical advice from the doctor.
Suspect Richard Dantee has since been arrested and placed behind bars, pending formal charges and a court trial.
