The National Transit Authority (NTA) is set to adjust transport fares on major routes across the country, as part of efforts to improve service delivery.
The move is intended to strengthen operational efficiency, improve the quality of public transport services, and meet targeted revenue goals.
According to NTA’s Assistant Manager for Corporation Communication, Abayomi Santi, the Monrovia to Ganta route will increase from 500 to 600LD, while Monrovia to Buchanan will move from 300 to 400LD.
He disclosed on Thursday on the Super Morning show.
Santi clarified that the increment followed a thorough assessment and is not based on speculation linking it to WiFi access on buses or the increment in petroleum prices.
Meanwhile, NTA’s Assistant Manager for Corporation Communication also said the Monrovia to Bo-Waterside route will rise from 400 to 500LD.
