MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Education is expected to track the professional ethics of all trained and qualified classroom teachers across Liberia.
The ministry said the platform will record credentials and conduct reports for licensed teachers in public and private schools.
Under the new framework, each teacher will be assigned a unique Professional Ethics Identification Number, which will be linked to their employment record and training history.
Speaking on the ELBC ‘Education at Midweek’ program on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, in Paynesville City, the Executive Director for the Center of Excellence Accreditation, Levi Wayke, said,” The database will promote accountability and restore confidence in the teaching profession”.
He noted that the platform, when established, will also help to identify and reward ethical conduct, while addressing cases of misconduct promptly.
Levi Wayke clarified that the database is aimed at upholding the National Teachers Code of Conduct of 2011.
