44-year-old Man Regains Sight after 33 Years

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-A 44-year-old Liberian male, identified as Alfred Konneh, has regained his sight after more than thirty years of blindness.

Konneh said,” I experienced many challenges during his years without sight, including discrimination from peers and hardship in daily living”.

He lauded Samaritan’s Purse and the New Eye Sight Clinic for selecting him for a medical procedure that restored his vision.

According to him, people facing similar conditions should trust God and always seek medical attention, noting that giving up should never be an option.

He also noted that restarting his life after regaining his sight remains a major challenge.

Meanwhile, Konneh is calling on the government and humanitarian groups for financial and educational support to help him rebuild his life.
