House of Rep. Expels Mont. County District Ten Rep. Kolubah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives has expelled Montserrado County District Ten Representative, Yekeh Kolubah.

The decision followed a report from the House’s Committee on Rules, Order, and Administration.

The Committee has been investigating Representative Kolubah over recent comments on a disputed land area along the Liberia-Guinea border in Lofa County.

Representative Kolubah reportedly claimed the disputed area belongs to Guinea.

Lawmakers described the statement as treasonous and undermining Liberia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

It is not clear whether the expelled District Ten Lawmaker will challenge his expulsion.
