House of Rep. Reviews Bill to Establish Karn-play Technical, Vocational Training Institute in Nimba County

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The House of Representatives is reviewing a bill seeking to establish the Karn-play Technical and Vocational Training Institute in Nimba County.

The proposed legislation aims to build and advance the capacities of young people in technical and vocational education.

The proponent of the bill, Nimba County District Three Representative, Nehker Gaye, says that the initiative is critical to equipping young people while narrowing the skills gap.

Representative Gaye described the creation of the institute as a significant step toward advancing the government’s decentralization agenda and improving access to TVET Education across the country.

Meanwhile, the plenary has mandated its Committees on Education, Ways, Means, and Finance to review the bill and report back with recommendations.
