F.A.C.E. Foundation Inspiring Education of Young People in Liberia

Monrovia, Wednesday, April 15, 2026 – A Liberian-born American based in Washington DC, continues to demonstrate his passion for the education of young people back home, providing not just scholarships but also social support to enhance school retention.

Mr. Alvin B. Hoff, III

Mr. Alvin B. Hoff, III, founded the Foundation for African and Caribbean Education, (FACE Foundation) in 2009 and since then, his organization has impacted and changed the lives of more than three hundred students though education, social, medical and financial assistance.

Mr. Hoff has always lobbied with friends and partners in the United States and other parts of the world, encouraging them to support the education of young people in Liberia.

One of such individuals is Mr. Isaac Washington, one of FACE Foundation’s most consistent and generous sponsors and donors.

On Thursday, April 9, 2026, Mr. Isaac Washington, visited with fifteen of the Foundation’s college students at ‘A la Lagoon’ Resort to assess development and transition from high school to college/university.

It can be recalled that Mr. Washington previously visited with some of these students two years ago. In his assessment and evaluation, he was totally impressed by the students’ academic and intellectual growth, advancement, and achievements.

Furthermore, Mr. Washington was pleasantly surprised by the F.A.C.E. Foundation expansion, programs, and projects in the many schools, from elementary to universities across Liberia.

A generous entrepreneur and philanthropist, Isaac Washington was excited to know that the Foundation had grown from twenty students a few years ago, to 157 students currently enrolled.

With a friendship that dates back to their childhood years, Mr. Isaac Washington congratulated the founder and CEO of the F.A.C.E. Foundation, Mr. Alvin B. Hoff, III, the Staff, Lovetee Paye, Boimah Mendimasa, Nimley A., Naomi Kromah, Tina Hoff, and Augustus S. Howard for the excellent and life-changing work they’re doing in Liberia.

Mr. Washington also congratulated the students who met with him and encouraged them to continue to push forward with determination, hard work, focus, dedication, commitment, and perseverance. He urged them to keep that warm, energetic spirit of family, unity, and strength. He then presented four students with laptops and he promised five additional laptops to the foundation.

Meanwhile, FACE Foundation President Lovetee Paye, on behalf of the founder and CEO, the officials, students, and donors, extended her deepest thanks and appreciation to Mr. Washington for his visit and his continuous support, contribution, and generosity towards the F.A.C.E. Foundation.
