Monrovia Liberia, Sunday, April 12, 2026 – The Foundation for African and Caribbean Education (FACE) is making significant impact in the lives of many young people, mainly girls in Liberia through education and social support.
Over the years, FACE has enrolled over thirty students across various universities in Liberia, with a hundred more at various high schools across the country.
These interventions are significantly changing the lives of many young Liberians, giving out fully paid scholarships and direct financial and social support to benefiting students.
Recently, testimonies of the organization’s impact took center stage during an appreciation diner with one of FACE’s leading donors, Mr. Isaac Washington, a Liberian Businessman and CEO of Jesus Couture LLC based in the United States.
At the event in Monrovia on Thursday, April 9, 2026, beneficiaries testified to how they had no chance of completing their high school studies and entering college, if not for the intervention of the FACE Foundation.
Recounting her experience, student Musu R. Kollie of the African Methodist Episcopal University (AMEU) described FACE is a life-changing institution.

She said more than 100 students have enrolled under FACE scholarships across various high schools, while thirty (30) plus students are spread across universities and vocational institutions in Monrovia and its environs.
Musu added that in addition to providing scholarships, FACE Foundation provides transportation allowance for students, feeding and other social support.
“They (FACE) are always there for us. They just don’t just pay school fees and leave us alone. They provide help for the students. When any one of us gets sick, they make sure the person gets medical treatment. On a greater note is the fact that FACE also goes as far as paying our rent and taking care of our parents. For this, we are grateful to our CEO Mr. Alvin Hoff and you, Mr. Isaac Washington for committing your resources to help us at FACE Foundation” she noted.
As for Victoria P. Akoi, a donor like Mr. Washington deserves every credit for not only giving his money but also keeping track of the students’ progress.

“You always checking on us and sending things for us. We the students highly appreciate what you continue to do for us. Along with our CEO Alvin Hoff, your support is greatly impacting and transforming our lives” student Victoria P. Akoi told the visiting CEO of Jesus Couture LLC.
There were also other testimonies about the changes their association with FACE Foundation has brought to their lives. A young female student from the University of Liberia recounted during the program, how she was given a start-up fund of 150 United States Dollars by CEO Alvin Hoff to do a business and since then things have never been the same.

She invested the money into soap-making, and the venture continues to grow by the day, providing income that is helping to address school-related and some cost of living expenses. Her testimony triggered an expected donation of additional 200 USD from Mr. Washington to boost the business and make it more profitable.
Speaking with state radio after his interactive session with the students, Mr. Isaac Washington laid credits on the Foundation’s Founder and CEO, Mr. Alvin Hoff for his kindness and dedication to the education of young people in Liberia.
Mr. Washington expressed his gratitude for being part of the foundation, emphasizing how he was greatly moved by the positive attitudes and aspirations of the young people he has interacted with.

“When Alvin started this Foundation, he asked me say, Isaac, whenever you’re in Liberia, can you please visit the kids? Since I met and interacted with them for the first time last year, I have been left impressed by what I have seen. There is so much passion. The kids want to learn and achieve their dreams, but they need a push from people like us and that’s what we are committed to” the Liberian US based businessman emphasized.
Mr. Washington lauded the FACE Foundation CEO Alvin Hoff for being so passionate about the organization and encouraging him to get involved by giving donation for the young people of Liberia. “I’m so grateful to be able to be part of the FACE Foundation family” Mr. Washington stressed during an interview with this publication.
He emphasized the importance of supporting Liberia’s youth, particularly young women, to help them become responsible citizens. Mr. Washington plans to return to Liberia in December next year to engage with FACE Foundation students and implement additional positive initiatives.
He added “I’m so excited today. Every time I come, it’s like a step above the step I left. And I promised you again, when I come next year or sometimes in December, it’s going to be more positive. So every time I come, I see positive things. I see good young men and good young women, trying to do life a great way. So that’s what made me so excited about FACE Foundation. That’s what actually pushing me to help these young people”.
In a society where there are limited opportunities for young people, occasioned by bad economy and poverty, humanitarian gestures from a Businessman like Isaac Washington especially toward the education of youth is invaluable. Because he has joined others in making resources and materials available to FACE Foundation, many students are being kept in school pursuing undergraduate degrees.
This is how Mr. Washington responded when asked about what’s pushing his drive for young people education, “of course our country Liberia, you know our problem here. We often forget the youth in the society. This is why I want to make sure that with my help, we can lift the young women, we can lift the young men with whatever I have so they can be good citizen of Liberia”.

According to Isaac Washington, it is his constant prayers that young people in Liberia become successful in life by doing the right thing, staying away from gangs and people who are going to corrupt their future.
