Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment Says Legislative Projects Follow Gov.’s Appropriation

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment (LACE) Executive Director, Julius Sele, says all legislative projects followed the government’s appropriation and proper channels, and are not delayed for political reasons.

Director Sele said,” Lawmakers must ensure resolutions from their districts are approved by constituents before projects can move forward”.

According to him, the Public Procurement and Concession Commission (PPCC) rules allow everyone to participate in national development projects.

He further noted that Montserrado County District Ten Representative, Yekeh Kolubah, has not yet met all the requirements for his district.

Meanwhile, LACE is encouraging Representative Kolubah to follow the proper channels and emphasized that the agency does not allow lawmakers to nominate contractors.
