MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has paid a sympathy visit to the family of the late former Montserrado County Representative, Solomon George.

The late Solomon George, who died at age 70, of the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) represented Montserrado County District Seven.

According to family sources, the former Montserrado County Lawmaker died on Friday, February 27, 2026, from a heart attack.

The late George served two terms in the House of Representatives on the ticket of the CDC.

In the 2023 legislative elections, he again contested on the CDC ticket, but was defeated by independent candidate Emmanuel Dahn.

Meanwhile, President Boakai has consoled the family of the late statesman on behalf of the Government of Liberia.
