MONROVIA, LIBERIA-ECOWAS Commission says it will continue to support Liberia’s efforts to combat narcotics across the country.
The reaffirmation was made at a one-day stakeholders’ meeting at the Commission’s office, focusing on drug prevention and control.
Speaking on behalf of outgoing ECOWAS Ambassador Josephine Nkrumah, the Commission’s Political Advisor in Liberia, Nathaniel Walker, said, “Our support aligns with the Liberian Government’s broader vision to reduce drug use in the country”.
Walker highlighted the significant contributions ECOWAS continues to make across its member states, including capacity-building and the rehabilitation of treatment facilities, among others.
The ECOWAS Commission’s Political Advisor, at the same time, reaffirmed the regional bloc’s commitment to supporting member states in the fight against illegal drugs.
