Liberia Petroleum Refining Company Terms Revenue Collection, Mismanagement Reports Baseless…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) has termed as baseless media reports that it is collecting and mismanaging the revenue of the Government of Liberia.

LPRC Managing Director, Amoe Tweh, also described the report as misleading and only intended to spread falsehood in the public space.

Tweh told a news conference on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, in Monrovia, that revenues collected at the LPRC are done by the Liberia Revenue Authority as the government entity charged with such responsibility.

He clarified that at no point in time did the LPRC collect revenues.

Meanwhile, the LPRC boss has recommitted the LPRC to fostering transparency, institutional integrity, and compliance with national laws.
