Gov’t’s Yellow Machines Arrive in Liberia

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-One hundred thirty-seven pieces of yellow machines have arrived in Liberia.

It is part of the two hundred eighty-five yellow machines promised by the Government of Liberia for massive road development across the country.

The machines, according to ELBC Reporter, arrived on Sunday via the Free Port of Monrovia, on a Singapore-flagged vessel.

The Yellow Machines Coordinating Committee Chairman, Brownie Samukai, told reporters that the coming of the machines signals the government’s strong commitment to infrastructure advancement under the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.

Samukai said,” The equipment will be transported to Careysburg for storage and inspection before being deployed to counties across the country”.

The remaining batches are expected in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the machines are set to improve road access, support farmers and businesses, and strengthen development across Liberia’s fifteen counties.

The equipment brought into the country includes nineteen lowbeds, nineteen service trucks, and twenty pickups.

Others are one backhoe, nineteen excavators, one roller, nineteen bulldozers, and one tractor head.

According to an official inventory seen by ELBC News, the equipment also includes a fuel tank and nineteen pieces of water trucks.

Meanwhile, nineteen hubs are being prepared across the country ahead of the official deployment of the yellow machines.
