Controversy Marrs New Police Spokesperson’s Appointment….

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Controversy has marred the appointment of a new Police Spokesperson, following the resignation of Cecelia Clarke.

Though the authorities of the Liberia National Police (LNP) have announced Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sam Collins, as the new Spokesperson.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the LNP confirmed that Collins has officially assumed duties as Head of the Press and Public Affairs Division.

According to the statement, the appointment is part of an administrative decision to strategically reassign officers across various divisions to enhance efficiency, professionalism, and effective Service delivery.
