Pres. Boakai Appoints New Youth Advisory Council Chairman

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has appointed Mandela Gbollie as Chairman of the President’s Youth Advisory Council.

Gbollie’s appointment followed the resignation of the Council’s former Chairman, James Kiawoin.

An Executive Mansion release described the incoming Youth Council Chairman as a seasoned young professional, recognized for his advocacy for institutional reforms.

The release said President Boakai expressed in Gbollie’s capacity to provide constructive guidance, and to advance policies that reflect the aspirations of young people.

The Liberian Leader, at the same time, thanked the former Chairman for his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the nation over the past years.

Meanwhile, President Joseph Boakai has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to actively engaging young people, considering them active partners in national development and governance.
