MONROVIA, LIBERIA–The National Transit Authority (NTA) has taken delivery of twenty new air-conditioned mini-buses as part of efforts to strengthen the national transportation system.
The buses, each with an 18-seater capacity, represent the second batch of vehicles procured under a contractual agreement with ABK Motors Incorporated.
According to the NTA, the mini-buses will primarily serve communities along feeder roads and improve access to public transportation in areas that have long depended on limited charter services.
The delivery brings the total number of newly acquired passenger buses to fifty-five, following the earlier deployment of thirty-five, sixty-two-seater mass transit buses that are already in operation.
Meanwhile, the NTA is also expected to bring into the Country five cargo trucks to boost the movement of goods nationwide.
