Margibi County Local Authorities Want Pipe Borne Water Facilities Reactivated

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Local authorities in Margibi County are calling for the reactivation of pipe-borne water facilities in the county.

The leaders’ call is predicated upon the shutting down of safe drinking water facilities by the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC).

Our correspondent quotes the Chairman of the Local Leadership, Peter Tuckon, as calling on the Superintendent, O.J. Morris, to work with the relevant institutions to restore a safe drinking water supply to the area.

Our correspondent said,” The LWSC water facilities in the area have been non-functional and abandoned for the last two years, leaving residents without affordable and safe drinking water”.

Chairman Tuckon said that if these facilities are not rehabilitated pose serious constraints on residences as the dry season approaches.
