MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai is expected to travel to Paris, France, this Tuesday on a one-week state visit.
The planned visit by the Liberian Leader is a result of an official invitation extended to him by his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.
The Presidential Press Secretary, Kula Fofana, disclosed at the weekly press briefing in Paynesville City.
As part of the visit, President Boakai will hold strategic engagements with top officials of the French Government as well as the Liberian Community in France.
Madam Fofana said,” The planned engagements will focus on strengthening bilateral ties in critical areas of mutual interests”.
At the same time, President Boakai has made new appointments that affect the Judiciary branch of the government.
Those appointed include Cllr. Eric Morlu, William Capehart, and Daniel Dolokelin as judges of the Debt and Traffic Courts of Lofa and Bong Counties, respectively.
President Boakai also appointed Attorney Anthony Kollie and Cllr—Rennie Moses as judges of Criminal Court “E” of Lofa and Grand Gedeh Counties.
Disclosing over the weekend, Madam Fofana said,” The move by the President is intended to further strengthen the workings of the Judiciary.
These appointments, according to Madam Kula Fofana, are subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate, where applicable.
