MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia has launched the Automated Legal Power of Attorney (LPA) Platform in Congo Town.
According to the government, the LPA launch marks a significant milestone in the government’s commitment to modernize and professionalize public service delivery.
The new digital platform, formerly known as the” Liberia Pay After” scheme, was unveiled on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, by the Office of the President.
The Director General of the Civil Service Agency, Dr. Josiah Joekai, described the initiative as a transformative leap from an outdated paper-based system to a technology-driven, biometric-enabled solution that empowers civil servants nationwide.
Dr. Joekai said,” The new system is a turning point in how public servants access goods and services without having to pay up front.
The program was graced by Civil Servants, business owners, heads of ministries and agencies of the government, among others.
Meanwhile, President Boakai has described the launch of the Legal Power of Attorney scheme as a legacy of empowerment, trust, and dignity for all public servants across Liberia.
The LPA scheme aims at making credit-based access to goods and services easier, smoother, and more transparent for the workers of the government nationwide.
Speaking on behalf of the President, Ambassador-At-Large Charles Snetter said the initiative marks a major step in improving the welfare and financial capacity of civil servants.
Snetter also urged the CSA to begin enrolling all government employees into the system as part of efforts to clean up the payroll and modernize public service.
The Ambassador-At-Large reaffirmed President Boakai’s commitment to reforms that make every public servant feel valued, respected, and motivated to serve.
