MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs has launched its internship program for aspiring journalists.
The program, which is being implemented through the Public Affairs Department, will provide hands-on technical training for selected candidates.
Launching the program on Monday, October 20, 2025, the Acting Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Samuel Stevequoah, described the program as a bridge that connects the Government of Liberia to the people.
Minister Stevequoah said,” Bridging the gap through communication remains a key step to achieving national growth and development”.
He urged selected candidates to make maximum use of the opportunity in shaping the future of the Communication Sector.
The Acting Minister of State for Presidential Affairs lauded the government and partners for investing in a program that aims to harness the skills and expertise of aspiring media practitioners.
Meanwhile, Minister Stevequoah has reemphasized the government’s commitment to fostering transparency and accountability.
He said,” This can be realized by supporting the actualization of the internship program being launched by the Public Affairs Department”.
He assured them of the President’s support for investing immensely in an improved communication arm that works for all Liberians.
The 2025-2026 internship program is bringing together media professionals from diverse backgrounds.
