Criminal Court “B” Sentences Bill Jallah to Life Imprisonment

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Criminal Court “B” has sentenced Bill Jallah to life imprisonment for killing his girlfriend, Princess Zuo Wesseh, on Duport Road last December.

Judge Wesseh A. Wesseh said, “Convict Jallah carried out the act by stabbing Princess seven times with a silver knife, leading to her death”.

According to the indictment, convict Jallah had the intent to cause harm when he concealed the weapon in his clothes and committed the act at the Fast Nickel Entertainment Center on Duport, adjacent Fun Factory.

Following the guilty verdict, the convict begged in vain for mercy and was handed a life imprisonment in line with the law, which makes murder a capital offense and a first-degree felony, which is punishable by life imprisonment or death by hanging.

In the judgment, the court said convict Jallah’s action showed clear evidence of malice, premeditation, and an intent to kill when he pulled out the silver blade and stabbed Princess multiple times.

Meanwhile, the Defense Team took exception to the ruling and announced an appeal to the Supreme Court of Liberia.
