MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Director General of the Cabinet, Nathaniel Kwabo, has described Cabinet Focal Persons as key drivers in the effective operations across all line ministries and agencies.
DG Kwabo believes the involvement of the CFS in the decision-making and implementation processes of their individual institutions is cardinal to the overall performance of government.
DG Kwabo was making remarks at the start of a two-day training for selected Cabinet Focal Persons in Monrovia on Monday.
The Director of the Cabinet urged the participants to utilize the skills and knowledge acquired during the training to effectively support Cabinet functions at their various institutions.
The training, organized by the Ministry of State through the Cabinet Secretariat, is geared towards strengthening coordination and cooperation across government entities.
Participants are being drawn from the Central Bank of Liberia, Civil Service Agency, General Services Agency, Governance Commission, Internal Audit Agency and the Liberia Broadcasting System, General Auditing Commission, Jackson Memorial Hospital, among others.
The two-day event underscores the importance of the selected Cabinet Focal Persons, who they believe play a critical role in ensuring that policy submissions, decisions, and follow-up actions are timely, accurate, and aligned with national priorities.
Key topics to be highlighted during the two-day exercise include Policy Documentation and Quality Assurance, Decision Tracking and Implementation, and Inter-Ministerial Coordination, among others.
This initiative forms part of a series of activities being implemented by the Cabinet Secretariat to strengthen governance, accountability, and results-driven leadership.
