MARYLAND COUNTY, LIBERIA-A forty-seven-year-old man has been charged with statutory rape, after allegedly assaulting a two-year-old girl sexually, in Fish Town, Maryland County.
According to Maryland County Women and Children Protection of the Liberia National Police Detachment in the county, Inspector Leona Kangar, the suspect identified as Nathaniel Walker, was arrested following a report filed by the child’s mother, Oretha Williams.
Madam Williams told the police that her daughter had been allegedly raped while she was away at the market on Saturday morning, July 26.
Upon her return, she was informed by her neighbor that he had witnessed Walker commit the act and had recorded the incident on video.
The victim has been taken to the Fish Town Clinic in Harper District for medical examination.
According to the police investigation, Walker admitted to the allegations during questioning.
Walker, the suspect, claimed that he encountered the child naked and placed her on his lap before engaging in sexual activity with her.
