Two Persons Allegedly Shot Dead on Cavalla River…

GRAND GEDEH COUNTY, LIBERIA-Two persons have been allegedly shot dead by an Ivorian security officer on the Cavalla River bordering Liberia and the Ivory Coast in Grad Gedeh County.

The victims are twenty-two-year-old Liberian Mohammed Kamara, and forty-five-year-old Burkinabe Abdullah Zoa-gran-dah.

Our Correspondent said the incident occurred on an island in Blackie Camp, Konobo District, while Abdullah was fishing and Mohammed was carrying out mining activities using a dredge.

The Burkinabe died instantly, while the Liberian got drawn from bullet wounds sustained attempting to cross to the Liberian side of the river.

Meanwhile, a joint security investigation is ongoing between Liberian and Ivoirian securities to identify the shooter and the cause of the incident.
