Pres. Boakai Reassures US of Openness to Strategic Partnership…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President Joseph Boakai has reassured the United States of Liberia’s openness to strategic partnership in the areas of trade, energy, infrastructure, agriculture, technology, and entrepreneurship, among others.

President Boakai announced that his administration is building a foreign policy architecture that seeks not only to deepen political alliances but also to create strategic economic partnerships.

The Liberian Leader said, “The goal is to promote Liberia as a viable and attractive destination for investment, innovation, and sustainable development.”

According to the Liberian Chief Executive, his administration stands committed to creating a stable, transparent, and enabling environment for business.

President Boakai also recognized the critical role of the U.S. Private Sector and expressed optimism about the creation of pathways that foster increased engagement between Liberian and American businesses.

The President made the statement on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Monrovia, at the celebration of the 249th Independence Day of the United States of America.

Meanwhile, President Boakai has extolled the historical ties between Liberia and the U.S., while calling for a stronger economic partnership between both countries.

The Liberian Leader underscored the unique and enduring relationship between Liberia and the U.S., highlighting a shared history that spans over two centuries.

President Boakai said:” The U.S. has remained a steadfast ally, supporting Liberia in its democratic journey, providing development assistance, strengthening institutions, and most importantly, standing with Liberia during moments of national challenge.

President Joseph Boakai described the celebration of the United States’ 249th Independence Day as the birth of an enduring idea that freedom, democracy, and opportunity should be the bedrock upon which nations are built.
