CONGO TOWN, LIBERIA-The Central Bank of Liberia is expected to launch a nine-month rigorous nationwide awareness campaign on the usage of the Pan African Payment and Settlement System (PAPSS).

According to CBL Executive Governor, Henry Saamoi, the exercise will focus on disseminating information relating to the economic benefits associated with the usage of PAPSS.

Mr. Saamoi said,” The nationwide awareness is targeting all commercial banks, cross-border traders, and small and medium-sized businesses to strengthen regional commerce.”

The CBL Boss also committed the institution to working with Afrexim Bank and other African central banks to ensure that Liberia is an active participant in the continent’s financial integration.

He, however, promised to continuously leverage strong partnerships with foreign and national banking institutions in driving Liberia’s digital economy.
