MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Liberian Government’s Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Task Force says it has begun investigating alleged corrupt cases on its docket, to ensure state resources are properly used.

According to the Head of the Task Force, Cllr. Edwin Kla-Martin, more than twenty cases are currently being investigated by the entity.

Speaking on Thursday, March 20, 2025, on the “Super Morning Show”, Cllr. Kla-Martin said:” Every case before the Assets Recovery and Property Retrieval Task Force will be treated with confidentiality until an investigation is concluded.”

The Task Force Head also assured the public of impartial and evidence-based investigation into cases that will be investigated, while urging those being invited to cooperate.

He said though the Task Force is charged with the responsibility to carry out prosecution, it is committed to working along with the Justice Ministry, the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission, the Financial Intelligent Unit, the General Auditing Commission, and the Internal Audit Agency, to ensure such a task is achieved.
