Transport Ministry to Begin Motor Vehicles, Tricycles Inspection Today

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Transport is today kick starting the long-awaited inspection, enforcement and compliance exercises of motor vehicles and tricycles.

The exercise is being jointly conducted by the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), the Liberia National Police (LNP) and the Liberia National Fire Service.

In a release from the Ministry of Transport over the weekend, the joint exercise is targeting Montserrado County and its surrounding areas.

It further said the inspection exercise aligns with Liberia’s Motor Vehicle and Traffic Law, which mandates all motor vehicles to be registered, insured, and operated by drivers or riders with valid driver’s licenses.

The release quotes the Ministry as urging the public to follow all regulations during the process to avoid future embarrassment.
