Transport Ministry to Begin Inspection, Enforcement, Compliance Exercise Monday

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Ministry of Transport is expected to kick start the long-awaited inspection, enforcement and compliance exercise motor vehicles and tricycles on Monday.

The exercise will be jointly conducted by the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA), the Liberia National Police (LNP) and Liberia Fire Service.

In a release issued recently on Thursday, November 14,2024, the joint inspection, enforcement and compliance exercise is targeting Montserrado County and its immediate environs.

According to the release, the inspection exercise aligns with Liberia’s Motor Vehicle and Traffic Law, which mandates all motor vehicles to be registered, insured, and operated by drivers with valid driver’s licenses.

The release quotes the Ministry as urging the public to follow all regulations during the process to avoid future embarrassment.
