Liberia Rural Women Empowerment Network Conducts Awareness on Gender and Innovation…

NIMBA COUNTY, LIBERIA-Liberia Rural Women Empowerment Network, in partnership with UNDP, has conducted a day-long public awareness on Gender and Innovation for Women’s Economic Empowerment and Resilience to Disaster in Sanniquellie, Nimba County.

Speaking at the program recently, the Head of the organization’s Saclepea Branch, Diana Davis, said the program is aimed at introducing and educating the public about the usage of the new platform, “Buy from Women”.

The platform, “Buy from Women” is a new business platform, designed by the Network to enable local farmers directly sell their goods through the digital business platform.

For her part, the National Program Officer of WEEPILLAR has called on rural women across the country to take advantage of the platform, adding that it will help them directly transact with buyers through the phones.

The program brought together women of the Rural Women Network from Saclepea, Karnplay, Sanniquellie, and other parts of Nimba County.
