“Harper Central Prison Not Ready to Admit Inmates”-Prison Superintendent Harmon

MARYLAND COUNTY, LIBERIA-The Acting Superintendent of the Harper Central Prison in Maryland County says despite the re-opening of the prison compound, it lacks essential materials to accommodate inmates.

Mr. Taleah Harmon named the lack of water, bedding, food, and cooking utensils, among others.

Mr. Harmon said:” Due to the absence of these materials, the Harper Central Prison will be unable to host any inmate”.

Meanwhile, ELBC Maryland County Correspondent said that following the burning of the prison facility, former Maryland County Senator, Dam Morias, renovated a portion of the facility, including six holding cells.
