MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia has expressed serious concerns over delays of cases at civilian courts.

Chief Justice Sie A-Nyene Youh recalled an establishment of an annex to the Civil Law Court was triggered by prolonged delays of cases on the dockets, saying there is no Civil Law Court B.

Justice Youh made the remarks on Monday, March 20, 2023, at the opening of the Civil Law Court for its March Term at the Temple of Justice.

She reemphasized that the rebranding of the Judiciary is critical to restoring the integrity of the legal profession.

Delivering his charge, Civil Law Court Judge, Kennedy Peabody, underscored the importance of proper record keeping on all precepts, writs and summons at all times.
