Pres. Weah saddened by former Chinese President’s death

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-President George Weah says he is saddened over the death of former Chinese President Jiang Zemin.

President Weah described the late President Zemin as an Iconic symbol of China.

According to a Foreign Ministry release issued over the weekend, the Liberian Leader conveyed deepest condolences to President Xi Jinping and the People’s Republic of China for the irreparable lost sustained.

President Weah stressed that the late President will be remembered as a great leader under whose leadership China experienced sustainable growth and improve relations with the outside world.

He then prayed that the Almighty Creator will grant President Xi Jinping and the people of China strength and fortitude, as they endure this period of national mourning.
