20 Liberian Students to Leave for Morocco…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-At least 20 Liberian students are expected to travel to Morocco for four years of study under a Ministry of Education scholarship program.

According to the Ministry, the students will sign a Memorandum of Understanding during a pre-departure ceremony held in Congo Town, Monrovia, on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.

Speaking at the ceremony recently, Deputy Education Minister for Planning, Research and Development, Thomas Parker, urged beneficiaries to demonstrate excellence, discipline and commitment.

Deputy Minister Parker said the students will represent Liberia abroad and encouraged them to adapt to Morocco’s environment while maintaining strong academic and behavioral standards.

For his part, a beneficiary’s parent lauded the Ministry of Education for investing in young Liberians through opportunities for higher education abroad.
