Nat’l Elections Commission alters Voter Registration Date

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The National Elections Commission (NEC) has adjusted the December 15, 2022, commencement date for Voter Registration ahead of the 2023 General and Presidential Elections in Liberia.

NEC Chairperson Davidetta Brown-Lansanah said:” A new date will be announced shortly pending the conclusion of consultation with the selected company conducting the Biometric Voter Registration (BVR).”

Madam Brown-Lansanah made the disclosure on Monday, December 5, 2022, during a hearing at the Liberian Senate.

Prior to the readjustment, the Voter Registration was expected to begin on December 15 to March 2023.
