MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Health Ministry has clarified that Lofa County is covid-19 free as being reported.
Deputy Health Minister and Chief Medical Officer of Liberia, Dr. Francis Kateh said the County is in the preparedness stage of the pandemic.
He maintained that until the World is covid-19 free, no country or region can boast of being free of the virus.
Dr. Kateh emphasized that for a Country to be free of any pandemic, it means that it has vaccinated at least seventy percent of its population.
The Chief Medical Officer is however urging citizens to get vaccinated as it is the surest way of ending the Covid-19 pandemic.
