MARGIBI COUNTY: Weala, Cinta Township petition Government

WEALA, MARGIBI, LIBERIA- The Government of Liberia has received a petition containing a list of several development projects from the people of Weala, and Cinta Township in Margibi County.

President George Weah revived the list of requests from the petitioner, Christina Sanpon, a resident of Weala, read and made the presentation of the petition on behalf of the people of at a town hall meeting on Monday, April 19, 2021.

Miss Sonpon appealed for the construction of a recreational center for use by children and young people, and the elevation of the only public school in the area to a high school.

The petition also requested the construction of a conference hall, a market building, and to provide a pipe born water and regularizing the status of volunteer healthcare workers and teachers among others.

In response, President Weah described the requested listing of priorities as basic necessities that will be undertaken by the government.

The Liberian leader is, however, urging the citizens to provide the land for the Town Hall, recreational center, and market-building projects.
