More than 77 traditional Lofa women benefit from European Union’s UN Women Spotlight Initiative

LOFA COUNTY, VOINJAMA  – More than 70 traditional women in Lofa County have benefited from a grant, valued at US16, 000; provided by the European Union’s UN Women Spotlight Initiative.

The grant comes following series of trainings in agriculture, business and village savings.

According to ELBC Lofa County Correspondent, the Traditional Women are divided into three groups of Village Saving Associations.

The correspondent quotes the Program Officer for Women Solidarity Incorporated, Martin Pajibo, as saying the initiative is aimed at modernizing traditional women activities
