Prez. Weah calls for positive competition in Liberia’s rubber sector for economic growth

MONROVIA, LIBERIA- president George Weah has called for positive competition in the rubber sector of Liberia.

President Weah said: “A competitive rubber sector would lead to improve investments, growth and development”.

The Liberia leader was speaking Wednesday, February 17, 2021, when he cut the ribbon for a new rubber processing plant at the Nimba Rubber Incorporated in Cocopa, Nimba County.

He said government’s decision to renew the company’s contract in 2018 is in support of his commitment to ensure Liberians become leading players in the economy.

Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nimba Rubber Incorporated, Harrison Kanwea, thanked President Weah for the support and appealed for promotion in the status of the company.
