Gov’t committed to empowering local farmers – Foreign Minister Kemayah

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemayah says the Government of Liberia is committed to empowering local farmers to enhance their production capacity.

He made specific mention of a physically challenged farmer from Todee, who was given ten-thousand-United States Dollars by President George Weah, after he was named “Best Farmer” at the National Agriculture Faire.

Minister Kemayah said agriculture remains a key priority of the Liberian Government under President Weah, noting that all efforts will be applied to ensure that Liberia achieves a reasonable level of food security.
