Liberia’s Chief Imam says total peace comes with justice, wants quest for Islamic Holiday considered

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Chief Imam of Liberia, Sheikh Ali Krayee, says no nation can achieve total peace in the absence of justice.

Imam Krayee said:” The dispensing of justice for all without fear or favor is crucial to peace sustenance and Unity in Liberia.”

He said:” The continued delays to accept their request for a Muslim Holiday in Liberia amounts to some form of injustice.”

Imam Krayee, however, assured that the Muslim Community will continue fostering peace, but their quest for a national holiday remains unabated.

Speaking Friday, July 31, 2020, at program marking the end of this year’s Abraham Day celebration at the Fish Marker Mosque in Sinkor, the Muslim Cleric clarified that their quest for an Islamic Holiday is not an anti-Government campaign.
