Muslim Council welcomes decision to relax some measures on religious activities…

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Muslim Council of Liberia has welcomed the Liberian Government’s    latest decision to relax some measures on religious activities in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak.

According to the Council Chairman, Imam Abdullai, the Council will work along with relevant Government entities to ensure Muslims observe all health protocols during worship services.

Imam Abdullai told ELBC via mobile phone that a regulatory committee will be setup to monitor various mosques in keeping with preventive measures.

He is at the same urging Muslims to worship at nearby mosques and avoid travelling to other mosques that are far from their communities.

Recently the Government of Liberia ordered the closure of all religious activities following the outbreak of the Coronavirus in the Country.
