Pres. Weah submits convention in tax matters for ratification

MONROVIA, LIBERIA (Wholquoi Yeahgar Reports)-President George Weah has submitted to the House of Representatives, for ratification, Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters.

In a communication to that body Tuesday, January 28, 2020, President Weah said the convention came into force on June 1, 2011, and it seeks to provide administrative assistance to parties of the convention in tax matters.

According to the communication, such assistance may involve, where appropriate, measures taken by judicial bodies.

President Weah’s communication to the House said such assistance, among other things, shall also comprise exchange of information, including tax examinations and participation in tax examinations abroad.
